WHACKD was created in November of 2019 by John McAfee and his group. When launched, McAfee opened the “Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself” contest, with the winners getting 10% of the coin’s total supply. A number of weeks later on December 1, 2019, McAfee shared a picture of the new “$WHACKD” tattoo on his arm.

June 23, 2021 In a Spanish jail cell, John McAfee had reportedly committed suicide. His apparent death occurring only hours after the Spanish High Court authorised the extradition of John to the US, on charges of tax evasion. This left many with the perception that John himself was whackd. Designed as a social experiment, the Whackd venture is supposed to shine a light on the malicious actors in society and take away the ability of influential entities: the market manipulators. Following McAfee’s death a community group has been established, working collectively to promote the ideas of WHACKD and protect McAfee’s legacy on the blockchain.

WHACKD is a deflationary asset with aggressive burn mechanics embedded within the ERC20 token’s smart contract. With each single transaction 10% of the $WHACKD tokens sent are sacrificed to the burn wallet taking those tokens out of circulation eternally. Additionally one in every 1000 transactions are absolutely burnt completely (there is a counter to avoid being Whackd)

WHACKD is a totally community-driven venture constructed upon a decentralized Group Governance system with a Libertarian admittance program based on the plurality of individuals recognizing an individual as a “Core Contributor”. To become a “Core Contributor” an individual needs to be nominated by an current member and accepted by normal consensus. Working as a roundtable, there is no singular authority, as John McAfee would’ve wanted.
