John truly believes by the way, que Pazus had nothing to do with the events disclosed in this and subsequent posts. (If there are any real journlists left in the world, both Marcia and Pazus can be found in Orange Walk. Pazus owns Lover’s Bar downtown)
John became close to Marcia, and on June 27th, a week and a half after the introduction, Marcia moved in with John. Shortly after moving in, John became suspicious of foul play. He began recording her phone conversations, and he gained access to her facebook account, through which the majority of her communications took place. At a certain point, Marcia became aware of the phone recordings, but not the facebook access. The following conversation occured on July 16th between Marcia and a coast guard employee named Manndo Koy.

The conversation is in Creole, but the meaning is clear. I do not have access to a Creole speaking person at the moment, but I am working on it.
Marcia and Koy met frequently at an island resort named Captain Morgan’s, both before and after this exchange of messages. It was at this point that Mr McAfee knew that Marcia was involved in a plot that involved, if not the government, então, certamente, um funcionário das forças armadas. Não consigo entender como alguém que suspeita das autoridades de estar fora para levá-lo permitiria que uma mulher que ele só conheceu 10 dias antes mover-se com ele. He went from meeting her to her moving in within 10 days, e, em seguida “pouco depois” began suspecting foul play and monitoring her communications.
Going to need additional information about why he all of a sudden began to suspect foul play.

Unfortunately fighting that much corruption is a loosing battle especially considering that all governments are corrupt. I hope McAfee makes it safely back to the USA and keeps a low profile from here on out. He is too old for this kind of drama. He is also very correct. They could kill him and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did if he goes back to Belize.

It seems to me, that at the end of all the negotiation and the high profile news propagation, Belize will issue an arrest warrant (trumped up charges and evidence notwithstanding). It then becomes critical that JM choose a country that won’t extradite him. Contrary to popular wisdom, such a good decision does not necessarily include the US. Em 2000, the US signed an extradition treaty with Belize, although I haven’t read the details in it.

Just because they don’t have an extradition treaty doesn’t mean they won’t turn him over. Third world countries are like the Wild West. They do whatever they want, when they want.

So basically Harold the Guatemala Government is going along with Belize? To only have John being detained for “entering the country illegallly” but letting the others remain free shows this correct? JOHN NEEDS TO GET TO THE U.S. ASAP!!! I also agree unfortunately that John should proceed with caution when dealing with Samantha!!

Did I just miss something ? John is being held in a Guatemalan prison because he spoke out against the Belizean Government ? I don’t think things look good about Belize if they can influence a neighboring country to hold someone on that accusation……If and when he is freed by all , I would get the f@#k out of Central America , sell out and never look back .BTW I have no intention of ever going back there again.

John is in Jail because he spoke out against the Belizean government and they want him back for punishment. They have no interest in anyone else. Neither Sam nor the two journalists with John were chqarged with anything.

No News to You, Most Likely. No News to anyone who has Lived in BZ either – as opposed to have taken a 2-week Vacay there, which usually reveals Little or Nothing to most Travellers about a Country.
I hear about these techniques (dog poisoning, immediate robberies of unattended houses, Similar Corruption) in other Latin American Countries as well. It makes life so tenuous.
I was considering moving down to Central America someday – and even after several good trips there, I am NOT ever gonna do it. Not even Vacation. BOYCOTT, IN TOTAL.

i have lived and worked in Belize for 23 anos. The country is politicaly stable and is the least corupt nation in Central America and is certainly less corupt than the USA. The real bad guys living here are the American Ex Pats running to hide there unlawfull activities in the States, from re4ading your post i would assume that you would be a likely candidate, i certainly hope that you BOYCOTT< IN TOTAL, we do not need your sort here

I live and ‘alternative life’ in a very Eccentric Place, and understand how it can be. IMHO, taking a sketchy Female “em” in One’s own home after a week and a half… Even Entertaining Said Females in One’s home at all is something I would be Very Careful with. And I am.
These sort of things will always come back to Bite a Person, with such Unsavory Characters, Crime and Financial Inequality as this Locality appears to possess.
Can’t stop thinkin’ about ya., embora, JM… Wishing you Clarity – So Far, Senhor, You’ve been as Impeccable as a Human could possibly be… Quite Impressive.
