John , when there is a change in government ,would you consider returning to belize? It,s inevitable there will be a change ,that being said ,would it make any difference. And would you consider running for prime minister,regards and best wishes james craig

Thanks Blue,
This was the first time I read any Belize comments section and saw words of praise and love for a gov’t official. He sounds like (he was) one hell of a man. What a shame he wasn’t able to have someone follow in his footsteps. The venom towards the current and previous governments (when reading comments, mostly from anon.)
contain a completely opposite sentiment to the feelings expressed for Mr. Price.

**According to a family friend, on Wednesday, September 14, Price slipped in the bathroom at his home on Pickstock Street sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. He suffered a head injury which reportedly caused the formation of a blood clot in his head.

Requeña told us on Friday, September 16, that he was in total shock that this had happened. He said that this was the second time that Price had fallen outside of his caretaking hours, which were from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mondays to Sundays.

He explained that Price lived alone upstairs of a two-storey house, and his sister resided in the bottom flat.**

The story goes on to say he died of complications from that head injury. Contrary to your statement, I couldn’t find anything about mental incompetency. Logically, one would imagine, if he lived alone at 92, and had only a part time caretaker, he was, in fact, bastante competente after all, at
least before his head injury.

Blue-George Price died peacefully in his sleep in his 90′s, two days before Independence, Sept 21. He was buried, not cremated. And he was not compos mentos enough to reveal anything before his passing, let alone a speech about economics.
