Approximately two months ago I left my house, en barco, ir a pasar la noche en mi apartamento (Ocean Aire) about four miles south of my house. As I was leaving I watched one of my security guards on the dock take out his phone and make a call while watching my departure intently. It made me suspicious. Instead of going directly to the condo, I hung out in the boat at sea for an hour or so and then languidly cruised to the condo. When I arrived the security guard at the condo came immediately to the boat in an nervous fashion and told me that a creole man in a golf cart had arrived about an hour earlier and demanded to talk to me. When the guard said that I was not home, the man became agitated. He insisted that I was home and demanded to see for himself. It was only the intervention of the neighbors below me on the first floor that convinced the man to leave.
The following day I was called by the neighbors downstairs. They had awoken to find a letter under their door. This was the letter:
You might think I should have gone to the police, but if you have not figured out my attitude toward the police by now, then no amount of explaining will help. I instead hired a private investigator. We went and spoke with the downstairs neighbors, who seemed genuinely freaked out. The investigator calmed them somewhat and then immediately went to my house. He rounded up every employee and every guard. He took mug shots of them, copied their IDs, and then made them all copy the letter in their own handwriting:
He then compared each copied letter with the original:
No-ones handwriting matched the letter.
It gets weirder. much weirder. This weekend I will continue the story. I’m running out of internet time for now.

This extortion letter was written to disguise the author’s hand writing … if you look closely, individual letters are purposely drawn to look different.

Lo siento, but this is the same incident that I read about in your diary, where Amy/Amber (a member of your harem) was part of the plot to have you kidnapped/murdered & another member of your harem was an assassin. You even posted a photo of the guy involved. These are people that YOU brought into your inner circle, not the police or the GSU or the government. When will you stop blaming others for the choices that you have made? Lo digo en serio & please stop deleting my comments. I am not your enemy, but you need to be honest about something. Chris Allnatt does not deserve your horrible attacks on his character. I’ll bet he’s wishing that he had never stayed at the hotel that night, but you should be thankful, because anyone else really would have called the police. En lugar, he gave you coffee & walked you back to your room & got rid of the baggie, while cleaning his balcony.
Excuse my anger, but I hate seeing innocent people crucified. I think everyone who cares about you is worried & I wish you would let one of them help you.

You do not have a clue what is going on. Your posts are being deleted, like many hundreds of others, because we cannot keep up with the volume of comments and are deleting everything repetitive. If it’s been said before, or implied before, it’s to the trash. We already have published over 1,000 comments on this site and if you check tem, there are as many negative as positive. Graft and corruption as well as violent crime are common in Ambergrise. There have been several murders. home invasion robberies and muggings on the island. Extortion is also common in Belize. When you choose to live in a place that is clearly corrupt and where the police are active participants in the corruption you in a sense agree to those terms. There are many ex-pats who live peacefully in Belize and do not get involved in bribery, coruption, ot politics. There are also many who could not live with the reality and left. It is a beautiful country and it is a tax haven for foreigners, however there is a trade-off. Every central american country is corrupt and crime ridden. The burglar bars and private security guards that are everywhere are your first clue. No one said you had to live there. The people who live in Belize and are law-abiding citizens are not all happy with their prime minister and his strong arm tactics. I talked to one Mayan who ran in the last election because he was fed up with the government.

I have a feeling that you have enough material to publish that would probably have a Jury find you not guilty (in the US of course or other country where the rule of law works properly) but I don’t know how much good it will do you in a Belize trial. If you can, get out of the country and continue your defense from abroad.

Juan, I was in Belize right after your Orange Walk home was raided and I remember being confused by the reports that your home was invaded, then you weren’t charged with any crimes. That is very unusual in most places to raid a wealthy persons home and then not charge them with crimes. Your story is entertainment to so many, but sadly lives are on the line. I’ve never lived in Belize but as a visitor I felt an underlying deceit behind the smiles. It was as though people were longing to come near and say, “hey, this place is really fucked up”, but nobody did. I hope to know more of the story one day, but for now I just hope nobody else has to die.

Juan–This is pure gold! Sigue así. I really like that you conducted a forensic handwriting examination. It looks like you have quite a staff assembled. I think you should cut up some newspaper, put it in a double black bag, and then send it with a man under the Grand Belize Estate Bridge. Stake the bridge out and see who picks it up.
