Just a few doors down, in Costa Rica, they report little gang activity. Some say this is because (in CR) they tend to legalize everything. Did John go to Belize because it’s formly a Brit colony? Maybe he should have done the speedy-spanish language course, and plopped down a few doors further south. WIki says the Brits still have a small army contingent in Belize. Wonder if that would have been useful?

John is doing right thing, he got out of there & protective Sam too. We need to make sure these emails get written. I have for one never been out of the country but with things like this going on, I don’t want too. I know the feeling of having to watch your back & you can become paranoid to some but really its just staying 1 step ahead of your attacker/abuser. John I hope you are doing ok & I hope Sam is safe & understands why you did the things you did. I think these guys killed Mr. Faull and are definitely trying to pen on John for extortion. Keep fighting!

You depart at a fenced in area and are not permitted to leave by yourself unless with a tour group. That didn’t seem like a very safe place to me and we have let multiple cruse lines know it!
