I was surprised it took so long for one to ask it. I believe JM didn’t know Mr. Faull very well and assumed he had dogs and spoke of dogs in the heat of the moment. Though he assumed one thing and said another is expected when one is in the situation he was in. Folks tend to ‘panic’ in such a situation. I could understand. Perhaps you could to as everyone has assumptions about the situation at hand they may not be reality. I looked past this for this reason. Anyhow, good eye. The raid on JM’s property took place during the rain at night when shots were less likely to be heard. JM learned from this ‘I suppose’ and chose to move at night to avoid inspection at the checkpoints…..due to rain. This was another ‘question’ that came up in my investigation into the matter though this is only an assumption at this point, not fact. This case has a special interest to myself for reasons that…..should remain shhh. Perhaps some may understand more at a later date. Perhaps not. Either way, justice has it’s way of setting ‘things’ Right. Ultimately, one can never hide from the truth. The trooth is has a way of catching up with itself for all the right reasons. Also, unfortunately, there are at least two other logs out there claiming to be John’s story. One of them is basically reposts with a little bit of opinion sprinkled in. The other one I know of is very negative and twisted. It’s author comments on quite a few of the media stories trying t get traffic.

I think this blog is still evolving. Chad has done a great job with it considering he is not a Web UI specialist. i did offer early on to help out if he needed it, and that offer still stands :)

Let’s be very clear with our words, John’s dogs were poisoned and he, himself, had to put down 4 of them because they were in misery.

John did say that Mr.Faull was an animal lover. He also did say, on the Joe Rogan interview I think, that Mr.Faull had dogs and that a dog owner could not have done such a thing.

In many comments here and elsewhere, people have said that Belize has many stray dogs and that dogs are poisoned all the time. It would be a reasonable assumption that Mr. Faull also owned dogs if your perception was that everyone in Belize has dogs.

When interviewed shortly after the murder, Mr. Faull’s parents ahd said that they had never heard of John McAfee or about his dogs. During this same time, the other ex-pats were not speculating about the poisoned dogs much. It was clear many of the neighbors didn’t like John, his dogs and his guards.

The statement that dogs don’t get along with birds is generally inaccurate. It depends on the dog and the bird.

John didn’t “get it wrong” with Greg Faull. Greg Faull wasn’t even on John’s radar until he was found dead. This is just further proof that John barely knew Greg.
