Unfortunate that the recording of the first segment went on for ~20 minutes after the stream ended. It is still on the Ustream site. You looked pretty normal and not significantly stressed. Good. Still, a tabloid type publication might get some visuals out of it, though. (Smoking, for example.) But it may end up being fodder for jokes.

It was probably good that you addressed the bath salt question, but it is a double-edged sword in that it could make for a compelling sound bite, too. Even if you’ve got a 100% defensible position, you probably don’t want to keep reinforcing that connection. No matter what you say, John Q Public will put the concept together with your name.

You may want to keep this feedback unpublished. If so, that’s fine by me. Good to see you’re doing well.

Not covered during your press conference:
-Didn’t the VICE guys and Sam also enter GT illegally? How come they were not detained too?
-Why hasn’t Sam or any of the half a dozen other people who were with you the night of Faull’s death come forward with at least some statement affirming your whereabouts?
Where are the thousand or so pages/recordings/etc. of evidence you said you have? We have all seen your files 1-6, and while it’s good to put them in order for folks, it’s been fairly anticlimatic to get the same info packaged as new or “breaking” as the file posts would have us see them.
-Why have no previous “friends” come out to advocate for your character, especially during the bluelight period? That would squash some of the skepticism on that subject.
Ok peeps, let’s see some more “hard” questions, as John asks for… I’m pushin for ya John, but I don’t feel like you’ve stood up for yourself enough. Take a step back and look at it through a skeptics eye. I know when I’m really close to a subject, it’s easy to explain it to myself/those in the know, but makes no fuckin sense to folks otherwise… (like explaining the internets to my mom).

good q&a john, although was disappointed at your description of mr. faull, you had apologized to his family in an earlier post and said that you wouldnt do it again, you recite it like a mantra, you only say it because you think it helps your cause to somehow portray him in a lesser light, it doesnt, get over it and i hope another apology is forthcoming to his family, good luck, i hope you make it back to the states

Probably a good thing that John didn’t follow-through on that bet he wanted to make with me about being back in Belize within 2 months.

The part of this that I think is odd is that there’s no reason he had to enter Guatemala illegally. He had a US Passport, right? So you enter as a tourist and then hold court with the press or book passage to the US from there.

Easy! So why complicate it?

Yes, you had to leave Belize illegally, but why enter Guatemala the same way? Not very smart.
