It seems possible to my mind that this alleged political enemy could have easily engineered the murder of the guy. Why not? The politician had nothing to lose. The crime in its simplicity can apparently be pegged on numerous individuals. In the absence of evidence, dogs can be used as motive. Backgrounds can be used to condemn. Simple psychology is complete overlooked -- like the unlikelihood that a crime committed so perfectly as to leave no evidence was yet committed as an act of passion (in revenge for the dogs.) But this is a flaw of the same detective who claims that "this doesn't resemble any crime, any where". How do those words bear any resemblance to reality? And the same person has some more carefully chosen words, meanwhile, about McAfee's own psychology, using a Jungian model. How likely is that?

It seems likely to me that when the neighbor complained formally about the dogs, this was a multitudinous opportunity for McAfee's alleged political enemy. If McAfee couldn't be successfully detained and framed for the murder, then one of his girlfriends or bodyguards could. And why wouldn't they already be arrested? Because the town is too small. I'm sure people there have figured it out well enough on their own, the same way they knew that McAfee wasn't manufacturing drugs -- through direct experience with the habits of the parties involved. That is why the girlfriend or security personnel aren't arrested, because everybody in town knows they are innocent. Considering the only point was to get rid of McAfee, it would lose considerable face to now arrest any of the other alleged suspects.

I'm glad for this interview. Enough light was shed on everything to make it clear what really happened, at least in my mind. I was actually concerned that John McAfee had killed his neighbor. But he's right, what sense does it make to be so ostentatious in murder? You could over-think that it would make a decent cover because of its unlikelihood, but the inevitability of being suspected counter-acts any perceived benefit.

The neighbor's dad is barking up the wrong tree. What is an ambassador supposed to do about the quality of criminal investigation in Belize that McAfee hasn't already done? The guy's nerves must be a mess considering his motivation is to find an easy explanation for his son's murder, faced with the obvious complexity of the reality.

Perhaps John would benefit from being with a slightly older woman who can handle the 15-20 hours of sex, still walk straight (with a smile).......and wouldn't dare think of killing him!
