Mes quelques amis dans le département de police m'ont dit un conte sauvage. À peine croyable, but it’s from multiple sources so I have to give it some credence.
Four weeks ago I donated about $100,000 worth of equipment to the San Pedro Police department. See story CLICK HERE
Among the items donated were 40 or so brand new stun guns still in the box. Quelqu'un, at some point opened one of the boxes and inserted a bag of cocaine, and then resealed the box. Four weeks later, the box is opened and discovered. Among the items taken from my residence were close to 200 additional stun guns, still in the box, vallued at close to $80,000.
One of two things: the drugs were planted in order to give an excuse to confiscate more of my property (they have never returned any of my property confiscated during the April raid), or they intend to charge me with cocaine trafficking.
I have no doubt that my fingerprints are on whatever container contained the cocaine. Se souvenir – the police have raided my home eight times in three weeks and have performed “searches”. It would be trivial to collect whatever they from my bathroom kitchen, bedroom, etc. that would have my fingerprints. I use baggies for everything.

I would indeed have to be the stupidest man in the world to donate stuff to the police that contained cocaine.

Kinda crazy to donate weapons and such to an admittedly “corrompu” police force. That alone might make your certifiably insane. Now they are hunting you with the same weapons you provided to them. When they finally find you I hope they don’t use your own gun to kill you. It would be a very ironic ending to this story. Avec optimisme, plutôt, there’s a flag that comes out the end that has “bang” written on it as one last practical joke!

Chain of custody probably means nothing in Belize, it is a corrupt goverment. Coco is right, it is not what you do, but what they can prove you did. Planting evidence, entrapment, lies, is somewhat the norm there.

its not what you do – its what they can prove you did.
I am sure that you had many employees. They are grasping at straws literally. And the police unfortunately and the government probably want to make an example of you. Qui se soucie. You will be fine and have been fine and telling your story only makes them more frustrated and angry. they have jobs to do and most of the time they don’t have the manpower – someone will really do something and then you will be off the top ten list and all will be well. Don’t focus on the angry people focus on the ones that believe in you and never ever give up

It’s obvious these people are moronic. The first thing I thought was why would someone donate stun guns with cocaine in one of the boxes. Do they even stop to think of the aubsurdity of the whole thing? The real victim are your friends, everyone involved & being harrassed, as well as the poor gentleman who was murdered by the same people who are supposed to be protecting him. Maybe a reward for the conviction of the person who planted the cocaine would make life more interesting within the GSU? Let them solve their own internal whodunit. Would keep them busy and would certainly make for paranoia within the ranks.

I happened to see your post and felt compelled to reply. I am a Belizean living in Belize and this case just doesnt sounds right to me or most people living here. There seems to be some serious levels of paranoia, exaggeration, and assumptions on Mr. Mcafee`s part. While our country does have some issues, clearly it is not as Mr. Mcafee states. We simply ask for both sides of the story to be heard and for fairness in the matter.

Know the issues…. I too sold shares in my IT business and retired early to an Island which was initially amazing but all became a bit stressful because of a high profile and other issues! I would recommend checking out Oyster Yachts and sail off into the sunset, much more fun and you can spend 181 days here, une 181 days there etc all over the world. You miss your Ferrari collection and decent beer but also you get to meet loads of other retired IT millionaires in all sorts of places where they appreciate you spending money and helping the locals.

PS On an Island, why didnt you fly out at 250 foot with the transponder off and go to Roberts in the Grand Cayman which is British Territory and from there you can give notice and head off to Miami to clear into the US, cant believe you don’t have your own aircraft and license!
