The television cameras can only follow you in to your arrest and then you get thrown in a filthy prison with no recourse. You can be raped, beaten up, and killed with no television cameras around to even hear your cry. If I were John, I wouldn’t go anywhere near the Belize judicial system. It sounds majorly f’d up.

The police are often the most corrupt element of society. A conspiracy of this magnitude is entirely possible. You don’t have to be paranoid to believe this stuff. I think a lot of posters don’t have third world experience and therefore think this is some nutty shit, but it really isn’t much of a stretch.
